FAQ

Why are you guys investing so much effort into this cause?

Stopping the Choddy is more than just stopping a disastrous formula that makes everyone feel dirty well after watching it. It represents more than that. It represents giving in to the soft whispers of the easy way out. When it all boils down, it is about new creative thinking that makes advertising fun to watch. We want to push ourselves, and push the industry as a whole to regain the creative power that we once had.

So, if you guys worked on choddies in the past, aren’t you essentially a bunch of hypocrites?

Absolutely. But hypocrites are people too. And we want to help a new generation of creatives from around the world to know better—know better than we did and to change. As Rocky Balboa once said in Mother Russia, “If I can change and you can change, everbody can change.”

Where can I find a choddy tote bag for my uncle in Des Moines?

Why that’s a great question. You can get it the same place our uncle in Des Moines bought it for us, by clicking here.

Can I donate money to the cause?

While the main way you can help is by taking the pledge, money does talk. We really are about making a difference, so you can make a monetary contribution which will go into a fund to make a creative Non-Choddy for a local low/no-budget client who would have otherwise made a Choddy. Contact us for details.

Why would I want to watch Choddies if they are so horrible?

Choddies are like watching car accidents, Britney Spears and Jake from The Bachelor. You can’t help but watch. And the more you watch, the more involved you get. Look at us. We don’t ever recommend going too deep into it, but ain’t nothin wrong with leisure Choddy spotting.

Some choddies are for good causes and do good things. What is wrong with that?

Yes, there are a lot of good organizations that make choddies. We are not discrediting the cause, we're just discrediting the formula used to deliver the message. In other words, we don’t kill the message, but we do kill the messenger.

I liked Whoopi Goldberg in Ghost, is that wrong?
